Through the 1980s, as India began to open its eyes to global consumer culture, the two young founders nurtured their dream. They saw what no one else was looking at a vast, comfort-hungry country with virtually no premium recliner furniture market to speak of.
While the rest of the furniture industry was focused on traditional designs, the brothers began tracing the supply chain, studying international manufacturing practices, and laying the groundwork for what would eventually become a revolution in Indian seating.
The vision was clear: bring world-class recliner craftsmanship to Indian homes, at a scale never seen before.
1996 The Founding Year
Recliners India Is Born
On 20th August 1996, Recliners India Private Limited was formally incorporated. What began as a family dream became a registered company and one of India’s most pioneering furniture ventures.
The early years were defined by relentless hard work, a deep commitment to quality, and an unwavering belief that Indian consumers deserved furniture that combined international standards with Indian sensibilities. Every recliner was crafted with premium raw materials, ergonomic precision, and a level of finish that stood apart in the market.

As India’s economy surged and urban incomes rose, so did the appetite for premium home furniture. Recliners India grew steadily through the 2000s, building its manufacturing capabilities, expanding its product range, and establishing a trusted dealer network across the country.
The company invested heavily in world-class production facilities, including plants in Delhi, Mundra (Gujarat), and Roorkee (Uttarakhand), ensuring that every recliner that left the factory met export-grade standards of quality and durability.

By the 2010s, Recliners India had outgrown the living room. The brand entered the cinema exhibition industry, partnering with India’s leading multiplex chains to supply premium recliner seating that transformed the movie-watching experience for millions of Indians.
PVR, INOX, and other top-tier cinema brands trusted Recliners India to deliver seats that matched the luxury of their premium screens. The brand also expanded into home theater solutions, hospitals, corporate offices, and builder projects, becoming a 360-degree comfort solutions company.
With over 400 dealers nationwide and a PAN India service network, Recliners India has become not just a furniture brand but an institution.
2020s Innovation & Legacy
