Empowering Women in Manufacturing at Recliners India | From the CEO’s Desk
Empowering Women in Manufacturing: At Recliners India, we are leading a transformative shift in the Indian manufacturing industry by prioritizing women’s empowerment. I am proud to share how our Mundra facility has become a benchmark for inclusive workforce development, where 80% of the production workforce comprises women—a testament to our unwavering commitment to gender equality in manufacturing.

In the past, tribal women from nearby areas primarily took up support roles such as cooking and housekeeping. However, we recognized their potential for something greater. Instead of limiting them to traditional roles, we took the initiative to equip them with industry-specific skills through a structured skill development program. Today, these remarkable women actively (Empowering Women in Manufacturing) contribute to key manufacturing processes, including wood cutting, assembling, stitching, mechanism setup, upholstery, and packing—integrating their expertise into every stage of high-quality recliner production.
Building a Future of Financial Independence
At Recliners India, we believe that true empowerment begins with education and skill development. When women acquire new skills, they don’t just improve their own lives—they uplift their families, communities, and the economy. By creating a structured pathway for them to enter the manufacturing workforce, we are fostering financial independence and long-term stability.

It is inspiring to witness these women, who once had limited access to professional opportunities, now excelling in precision-based manufacturing tasks with confidence. Their hard work, resilience, and dedication have strengthened our organization while also contributing to the economic growth of the region.
A Commitment to Gender Equality and Inclusive Growth (Empowering Women in Manufacturing)
Diversity and inclusion are the cornerstones of our success. At Recliners India, we are committed to breaking barriers and ensuring that women have equal opportunities in the traditionally male-dominated furniture manufacturing industry. Their attention to detail, efficiency, and perseverance have significantly enhanced our production quality, reinforcing our position as industry leaders in motion furniture.

As we move forward, our commitment to women’s empowerment, workforce diversity, and skill development remains stronger than ever. We believe that when women thrive, businesses flourish, families prosper, and societies progress.
We invite industry leaders, policymakers, and aspiring professionals to join us in championing a more inclusive and skilled workforce for the future.

On this International Women’s Day (Empowering Women in Manufacturing), I extend my deepest appreciation to the incredible women who are shaping the future of Recliners India. Their contributions continue to inspire us to foster an inclusive, empowered, and forward-thinking workplace.
